Fortnite Horde Mode

Fortnite Horde mode using Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN)

Served as Producer for a Fortnite Horde Mode using Unreal Engine for Fortnite
Served as Scrum Leader, conducted weekly meetings managing team sprints and ensuring consistent communication with the client
Applied Agile project management practices and led Scrum-based development sprints, incorporating iterative feedback and time-boxed goals
Utilized JIRA to manage sprint planning, task tracking, bug documentation, and production timelines
Coordinated communication between the team and oversaw development pipelines from pre-production through QA

Designed a paper prototype to visualize initial gameplay flow, zone structure, and encounter pacing before moving into engine
Created a full level block out in UEFN, establishing key areas such as spawn zones, choke points, and safe rooms to support horde-based gameplay loops
Designed the gameplay flow to build tension gradually through progressive enemy difficulty, tight navigation paths, and resource scarcity

Fortnite Free for All Map Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN)

Oversaw production of a Fortnite Free-for-All (No-Build) map themed around the American Wild West and prehistoric eras, targeting fast-paced combat and warm-up sessions for Battle Royale players
Utilized Agile and Kanban methodologies for sprint planning, task prioritization, and version control; managed workflows with JIRA to ensure timely delivery and iterative improvements
Coordinated playtesting sessions and feedback loops to refine game balance, combat flow, and player engagement across multiple development cycles

Designed a three-lane map layout, inspired by Call of Duty multiplayer design principles, to provide clear movement options and encourage competitive decision-making
Balanced spawn zones, sightlines, and traversal paths to support both strategic planning and fast-paced encounters
Integrated Fortnite's creative tools and assets to build immersive environments while maintaining performance and readability
Focused on player decision-making, using the three-lane system to limit cognitive load and promote engaging, skill-based encounters

2D Unity Platformer

Designed and implemented core gameplay systems in the Unity Engine, including a cat movement system and enemy AI for dog characters
Constructed the game’s primary levels using Unity’s Tilemap system, enabling efficient iteration and spatial design
Balanced gameplay flow, movement responsiveness, and enemy behavior to ensure an engaging player experience
Focused on clear documentation, iterative design, and team coordination to deliver a functional prototype within academic deadlines

Took on a leadership and mentorship role in Fall 2023, managing a team of three novice game developers throughout a semester-long project
Applied Agile and Scrum methodologies to structure development sprints, assign tasks, and conduct regular check-ins and retrospectives
Created and maintained a detailed Game Design
Document (GDD) to align the team’s vision, organize workflows, and guide project execution
Utilized JIRA for backlog tracking, milestone planning, and progress management

A Therapy Simulation Virtual Reality Game

Developed a solo prototype project titled EndureVR during the Winter 2023 academic semester, following a direct invitation from a game design professor to explore VR as a therapeutic tool
Applied Agile development practices, creating structured weekly sprints and maintaining scope with Kanban-style task management; tracked personal milestones and progress using JIRA
Designed a 3D virtual reality simulation focused on phobia exposure therapy, recreating immersive environments and triggering scenarios for fears such as heights (e.g., skyscrapers, bridges, cliffs)
Leveraged VR gameplay design principles to emphasize desensitization and gradual exposure, aligning with real-world therapeutic approaches
Authored a comprehensive design vision and feature roadmap, balancing game design, user experience, and psychological goals
Currently in the prototype phase, with continued refinement and development planned through graduation.
