2023 - 2024 Projects

Several of my personal and academic projects, which have not been showcased on my homepage, are worthy of acknowledgment!!!

Wild West Map

Fortnite Free for All Map Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN)

Lead Game and Level Designer

A Fortnite free-for-all no-build map with a theme that centers around the United States’ wild west and prehistoric times. The map contains weapons and unique features that allow for a fast-paced and engaging combat experience to train and warm up for the battle royal mode. The theme of the map is inspired by the three-lane map system that is famous for Call of Duty multiplayer maps. A three-lane map system means that there are three different directions that the player can go from the location of the spawn to where there is your opponent spawns. It allows the player to have the mindset of only having three decisions to check where the player could be.

Whisker Hop: A Purrfect Platformer

2D Unity Platformer

Director and Lead Game Designer

In the Fall semester of 2023, I undertook a leadership and mentorship role, overseeing a team of three students who were novices in the field of game development. Over the course of the semester-long project, I crafted a comprehensive Game Design Document, serving as the foundational blueprint for our endeavors. This document facilitated the organization of the team and the strategic planning of the game's development. Leveraging the Unity Engine, I designed and implementation of the cat movement system and the enemy dog system. Additionally, I proficiently utilized Unity's Tilemap system to construct the main levels, ensuring an efficient and streamlined execution of the project.

EndureVR

A Therapy Simulation Virtual Reality Game

Academic Project

During the academic semester of Winter 2023, I was approached by my game design professor to undertake the development of a therapy simulation virtual reality game as part of a comprehensive semester-long project. My goal was to make a 3D simulated reality game that allows the player to conquer their fear by having the game recreate a certain environment and scenarios that would trigger specific phobias.  EndureVr’s goal is to use the power of virtual reality to recreate environments and scenarios that trigger specific phobias. Our goal is to have these environments to aid players in confronting and ultimately conquering their deepest fears and phobias. Furthermore, we want to recreate settings and scenarios that would trigger these anxieties and our goal extends further than entertainment by using this game as a therapeutic tool to help the individual gradually desensitize themselves to their fears. For instance, if the phobia is about heights then the environment would create a high place like skyscrapers, cliffs, or bridges. Presently, the project exists in its prototype phase, and I intend to persevere in its refinement and development until my graduation.
